thinking Thoughts...

The architect Moshe Safdie ended his TED talk with this poem:

He who seeks truth shall find beauty. He who seeks beauty shall find vanity.
He who seeks order, shall find gratification. He who seeks gratification, shall be disappointed.
He who considers himself the servant of his fellow beings shall find the joy of self-expression. He who seeks self-expression, shall fall into the pit of arrogance.
Arrogance is incompatible with nature. Through nature, the nature of the universe and the nature of man, we shall seek truth.
If we seek truth, we shall find beauty.

It never ceases to amaze me how things of this life are interwoven, while still being able to preserve a certain element of contrast. Every virtue marries another and slowly but steadily goes on to shape and mold a character. This being true for the vices as well. It's interesting how malleable we are. Our choices either make us or break us.
